Chris Porter was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Perth. He has always been the kid doodling at the back of class, trying to make his friends laugh, which grew into a respect and fascination for all things art. He seeks to learn from great artists globally from all backgrounds and emulate what makes them stand out amongst the sea of talented artists.
Chris enjoys tackling challenging mediums in art to build his versatility, hence why he chose to delve into tattooing. On his journey of mastering all forms of art, he first began with oil-based paints. He fell in love with painting as a way to capture the rich colors of life, and it felt rewarding to learn from artists that he looks up to, such as David Choe and Andrew Tischler, a local fine art painter.
He wants to be a versatile tattoo artist, being adaptable to any art style. Although he enjoys all tattoo styles, some of his favorites include traditional, black & grey realism, and colored work. He particularly enjoys doing tattoos that are positive and uplifting, have a meaningful story, or in general just look dope. In his pursuit as an artist, he has tended to avoid the dark arts; however, he is fascinated with the origins and meaning behind all art forms.
Chris hopes to offer a unique and custom experience tailored to you that has been carefully planned out from consulting through to the design and, most importantly, execution. He hopes to uplift his peers and those he connects with along this journey.
When he is not in the studio or at home drawing, he enjoys making the most of the beautiful state he lives in by spending time at the beach, going for hikes, or engaging in activities out in nature with friends.
